How to choose a smartphone in Sri Lanka
Storage, battery, band support and after-sales service matter more than the spec sheet headline. A practical checklist before you pick a phone.
A phone is the one device most of us use for hours every day, so it pays to choose on the things you will actually notice rather than the headline number on the box.
1. Storage you will not outgrow
Photos, videos and offline maps fill 64 GB within a year for most people. 128 GB is the sensible minimum today; pick 256 GB if you shoot a lot of 4K video.
2. Battery and charging
Look at the milliamp-hour rating together with the screen size. A 4,300 mAh cell behind a 6.1-inch screen lasts longer than a 5,000 mAh cell behind a 6.8-inch one. Check what charger is in the box — many phones now ship without one.
3. Network bands
All the phones we sell support the LTE bands used by Sri Lankan operators. If you travel, check that 5G bands n1, n3 and n78 are listed.
4. Warranty and returns
- Every phone carries the manufacturer warranty shown on its product page.
- Unopened phones can be returned under our standard returns policy.
- Keep the box — it is needed for a warranty claim.
Still unsure? Compare the models side by side in the shop and open a support ticket with your questions — we reply within one working day.
